Camporee

May 2001

The theme of the 2001 Camporee was "Walk Like an Egyptian", complete with an archeological dig...
Our first craft of the day were camel windchimes			It was a pretty tough craft, though, and several girls needed help!		But in the end, all the Daisies had a camel windchime to take home and hang up!
The jewelry boxes were fun to make--and came out beautifully golden.		And there were enough girls making the same things that we had to be sure that everything got a name written on it!
Nothing could stop us from taking a lunch break--we were hungry!				And the rain certainly didn't stop the girls from having a wonderful time!
We weren't the only ones at Camporee, of course...		These third grade brownies were also from Shaw.			Several older Scouts taught the younger ones to dance to "Oops, I did it again..."
Outdoor games: in the rain!		Mummy wrapping is fun--even if we didn't play by any rules!
By the end of the day, the Daisies were much too tired to play by any "rules"...			But not too tired to have a good time!
	All days need to end--even one as fun as Camporee....until next year!
